Course Overview
The Foundation Literacy & Numeracy course is a 6-month certificate program designed for tribal and rural girls in Maharashtra who have completed at least the 12th level examination. Many of these girls are graduates but face limited employment opportunities, often ending up in unskilled work. This course provides an opportunity to leverage their education in meaningful ways by skilling them to start educational enterprises or join private schools as teachers.
Course Objectives
Early Childhood Care
Equip candidates with the skills to care for children aged 3-10 years in a holistic manner.
Primary Education
Train candidates to teach primary school children early language, mathematics, and social science in a systematic and activity-based manner.
Educational Enterprise
Enable candidates to start their own educational enterprises, such as tuition or art classes.
